Tyler Reese, currently 19, is a master guitar player with extensive experience in live performance and studio session work. He is dedicated to producing music ranging anything from relaxing your spirit, to lifting your soul, to melting your face. Tyler Reese has surrounded himself with a group of talented, educated musicians to provide high quality music with cross genre appeal. His experience includes over 200 live performances to date including opening for Martin Sexton, Ron Holloway, Linwood Taylor, as well as an invite to open for Ted Nugent. He won the National Guitar Workshop competition in April of 2011, has participated in showcase events, numerous festivals, and played prestigous clubs such as the Friars in New York City. In the summer of 2012, Tyler Reese studied under the personal instruction of guitar legend Pat Matheny. He has been featured in publications such as the Free Lance Star, Front Porch Magazine, Virginia Neighbors Magazine, and was the featured artist of the week for Underground Artists Live out of New York. Tyler Reese has produced 2 CD's. The first "Risus21" Released June 2010 with his rock band, Risus21, was an exploration of progressive rock with moderately dark heavy riffs and a lot of high energy guitar. His second CD, "Because I Can", released October 2011 with the Tyler Reese Group, is a series of contemporary, 21st century, arrangements of traditional jazz standards with aspects of funk, rock and blues. Hangin' with Stogie is an up and coming country pop group for which Tyler plays lead guitar and performs studio session work. Tyler Reese's experience include lead guitar for the following groups: The Tyler Reese Group (jazz fusion), Risus21 (progressive rock), Knee Deep (funk, rock, metal), Hangin with Stogie (country, pop), and Big Daddy and the Riff Hounds (classic rock). In addition he also plays occasionaly with the Jay Starling Jazz trio, The Geezas (classic rock), and does gigs on solo jazz guitar. Tyler is currently a second year student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and is available for both session work and live performance.
